Example: Inhouse 2 Day Training Plan

Product(s): Roller Compactor and Wheel Tracker

Day 1

  • Introduction to support team and contacts
  • Cooper facilities tour
  • Equipment introduction (overview of the Roller Compactor and Wheeltracker)
  • Installation of the equipment including software installation
  • Description of standards and test methods applicable to the equipment being trained upon
  • Initial testing of equipment following installation demonstrating test panel facilities and basic checks
  • Preparation of suitable material for compaction
  • Demonstration of Roller Compactor – initially without a sample to indicate relevant controls and operation methods
  • Hands-on run of the Roller Compactor by the delegate(s) to obtain a feel for how the machine operates and what to look out for
  • Compaction of prepared material on the compactor suitable for subsequent Wheeltracking
  • Demonstration of sample removal and machine cleaning after use
  • Discussion of regular maintenance and machine checks
  • Wheeltracker turned on and cabinet set to heat for conditioning of compacted sample overnight
  • Finish Day 1

Day 2

  • Demonstration of the Wheeltracker functionality (running through a dummy test to familiarise with the software and test operation)
  • Hands-on run of the Wheeltracker by the delegate(s) to learn how to run the machine and any steps necessary for test operation
  • Start a Wheeltracking test on the previously compact sample
  • Whilst the test is running, explain the indicated outputs on-screen including the relevance to applicable test standards
  • Explain and demonstrate the different test completion criteria (Rut depth limit, User test stop etc.)
  • After test completion demonstrate the process of specimen removal and cleaning the machine prior to the next test
  • Explain analysis of results and relevance to applicable standards including any pass/fail criteria on the sample under test
  • Explain all applicable calibration, service and maintenance requirements for the equipment including service schedules and recommended Cooper engineer maintenance/calibration
  • Recap session to re-cover/expand any elements of the training in detail including question and answer session with Cooper engineers
  • The commercial team will be available to answer any commercial specific queries (Pricing, lead-times)
  • Close of training including presentation of Training certificates
