Poland has ambitious plans to construct around 900km of new highways in time for the European Football Championships in 2012.

With plans in place to co-host the UEFA 2012 football championships with the Ukraine, Poland’s road infrastructure is undergoing major developments to bring it up-to-date with the rest of the EU.  To ensure the completed roads and pavements are up to the required quality standards, Cooper Technology of Derby, UK, have been awarded the contract to provide asphalt-testing equipment to the laboratories involved in this ambitious project.

Cooper Technology was approached by Petroplus to work with them in the establishment of a brand new £1 million world class binder and asphalt R & D facility in Swansea.

This led to a partnership approach the outcome of which was a bespoke Cooper solution mutually beneficial to both parties.
